Aliens? Not here

Daily writing prompt
What’s a topic or issue about which you’ve changed your mind?

I used to believe in intelligent extraterrestrial beings, or better, I wanted to believe in them. Ever since my dad had bought me Erich Von Daniken’s ‘Chariots of the Gods’ back when I was in middle school (1998-2001). I was learning about the Annunaki back before The History Channel adopted their cash cow and mainstream narrative fueling propaganda known as Ancient Aliens. Back then I ate that shit up. Today, not so much. Thanks to the Freedom of Information Act releasing many documents on a myriad of clandestine projects, along with the dying words of Wernher Von Braun, a former SS Nazi made head of NASA’s rocketry program, stated as a final card to unify the people into order, an alien invasion would be created as a false flag event. The technology of UFOs and antigravity was figured out and accomplished by Germans in the 1940s. Everything we’ve seen done by alleged extraterrestrial aliens can and I believe have been done by humans.
So today, along with shows like Ancient Aliens and the government releasing footage of UFOs, and more people accepting this narrative, society and its individuals keep looking at the external rather than looking at ourselves. We’ve become too distracted and alienated to see that we as people have become aliens to each other.

  1. The last line is absolutely true! It’s ironic that technology lets people connect so easily, yet the “real connections” with empathy, concern and care for people around us is declining or nearly non-existent.

    1. It’s not so much the technology but in how it’s being used, or in our case, abused, that we see the negative effects outweigh the positive. It’s become apparent to most people I believe, but we have become so dependent on it and it’s convenience that putting limitations on it will be like taking heroin away from a junky.

  2. Authors like myself tend to sensationalise unknown topics like ghosts, aliens, afterlifers. Check out MY paperback/doubleheader PICKETPOST MOUNTAIN AFFAIR , order on Amazon Books. Reviews say I did a good job. Dee Tezelli

    1. Humans are fascinated with the unknown. While we may fear these things on the surface, internally, we find them relieving in that they give us hope of a life after death. But if we knew answers to such questions, could life even be lived?

      1. Hi again – Ever since I lost a beautiful adult son (32 in 2013) I’ve written eBooks for Amazon (title: AFTERLIFERS and the MOUNTAIN) is a true story of a paranormal presence of our son appearing before us to rescue us! Otherwise, we would have perished! Now I’ve published at least 2 on friendly ghosts. Also orderable on Amazon: MEET ME IN BISBEE and PICKETPOST MOUNTAIN AFFAIR. Also HOW I LEFT THIS WORLD giving a voice to my son. Also on Amazon paperback books. Now you know why? Thx for listening.

      2. I’m very sorry to hear about your son. What if he did have a voice? Why take it away from him to voice what you want to say? Like attempting to use his tragedy as a means to make money, and in my comment section about aliens or how we have become aliens to each other. Was your relationship with your son like this? I haven’t read any of your books so I don’t know what you meant by “now you know why.”

      3. Thanks for your input. Now you know why is for : That is why my stories whirl around the afterlife, paranormal and the unknown. As to ‘money making’ from my books. There is zero income for me: they are all willed to Mayo Clinic, Children Hospital Cardiology, and other institutions who knew him. What I ever hope to make is his memory never to be forgotten.
