Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

Yeah, and it’s kind of sad. It’s not a quote by anyone of importance. In fact, it’s not even a quote. It couldn’t be if it tried. But in the last few years, ive recognized an increase in people doing stupid things. That includes myself. And every time i bear witness to such an occurrence, i find myself thinking the same thing:

smh.. (shakes my head)

First, and probably the most despairing thing, is that I now think in emoji-abbreviations. And then… immediately after these three letters (all lowercase, btw) pop up in my head, I repeat to myself what’s in the parentheses. Shakes my head. As if I didn’t already know what the damned letters are.
Has anyone else found themselves doing this or something similar, like LOL instead of laughing (lol)? Please don’t leave me hanging here.
This social-lexicological brevity (yes, I made that up. Go fuck yourself) may be the result of our increasingly fast-paced world. Technology is advancing faster. Trends are reemerging quicker. Now our language is being abbreviated because we don’t have time to use our words. Is it tearing our language apart? But, weren’t words already doing that? Go check this book out: Word Magic: The Powers & Occult Definitions of Words by Pao Chang. (https://youtu.be/P89290ULQt4?si=Hye2sjFWg4yaAIzJ)

It’s nothing new to those within the conspiracy circles, but it’s good stuff that everyone should know. Some of it the dude is reaching a little bit but the rest is good stuff that everyone should know—about legalese and the language of admiralty law.
